Reporting content and contacting us
Last updated: 2026-08-07 · v2.0
1. What this page is for
This page sets out how to contact us and how to report content in BedrockConnect that you consider should not be there. It covers the contact points we are required to publish under the EU Digital Services Act, the way to report illegal content, what we tell you if we act on your listing, pack or account, and how you can challenge a decision we make. The service is operated by GKM Interactive UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Wasserstraße 5, 37186 Moringen, Germany. Our full company details are on the Imprint. What you may and may not do in the app is set out in the Terms of Service; how we handle data is in the Privacy Policy.
2. Contact point for users (DSA Art. 12)
Our single contact point for users of BedrockConnect is:
Write to us in English or German. We read every message that arrives at this address. Messages are answered by a person, not solely by automated tools. No account is required, and no particular form or wording is required.
Our Discord community also has a support assistant called Anya. Anya is an AI, not a human, and Discord is not the contact point described in this section. Anya answers common questions quickly, and you may request at any time to be transferred to a human. For a guaranteed response from a human, use the email address above.
If your message is about privacy or data protection, contact@gkminteractive.com reaches the same people and is the address named in the Privacy Policy.
3. Contact point for authorities (DSA Art. 11)
Authorities of the Member States, the European Commission and the European Board for Digital Services can contact us directly and electronically at:
contact@gkminteractive.com — subject line: DSA Art. 11
Accepted languages: German and English.
Postal address: GKM Interactive UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Wasserstraße 5, 37186 Moringen, Germany. Our Digital Services Coordinator of establishment is the Bundesnetzagentur (Germany). The email address above should be used as the primary channel; it is monitored and is the fastest route.
4. Reporting illegal content (DSA Art. 16)
4.1 What you can report
Any person, whether or not a user of the service, may notify us of anything in BedrockConnect they consider illegal. That includes:
- a server listed in the app (its name, description, banner, address or what it advertises);
- a texture pack someone has uploaded to our service;
- anything else in the app that you believe breaks the law.
Servers we list are run by other people, not by us. We do not host their gameplay, their chat or their websites. If your complaint is about something that happened on a third-party server, the operator is the appropriate first point of contact; please also notify us, as we can remove the listing.
4.2 Where to send it
contact@gkminteractive.com — subject line: Illegal content report.
Reports are accepted electronically only, in English or German. There is no fee and no account requirement.
4.3 What your report needs to contain
So that we can act on a report, please provide all four of the following:
- (a) Why you think it is illegal. Provide enough detail for a person who has not seen the content to follow your reasoning. A statement that the content is illegal, without further explanation, is not something we can act on.
- (b) Exactly where it is. For a server: the name shown in the app and the server address (and port), plus which tab it is in. For a texture pack: the pack name and, if you have it, where you saw it. Screenshots are helpful.
- (c) Your name and email address. We need these so that we can confirm receipt and notify you of our decision. Exception: you do not have to give them if your report concerns an offence against a child under Articles 3 to 7 of Directive 2011/93/EU — those reports can be made anonymously.
- (d) A confirmation that you are acting in good faith and that the information you have given us is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and complete.
Copying these four points into an email is sufficient.
4.4 What we do with it
- We confirm receipt to the email address you gave us, without undue delay.
- We decide in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way.
- We tell you what we decided and how to challenge that decision, without undue delay (see section 6).
Within those standards, we decide on the merits and at our discretion, taking into account the applicable law, our Terms of Service and the rights of everyone involved. Sending us a report gives you no entitlement to a particular outcome — not to a removal, a demotion, a suspension or any other specific measure — and beyond the standards above we do not commit to a fixed number of days for any step.
Automated means: we do not use automated tools to detect, assess or decide reports. Every report is read and decided by a person at GKM Interactive. If that changes, we will state it on this page and in the decision we send you.
Deliberately false or abusive reports consume time that other people's reports require. We may stop processing reports from a person who repeatedly submits manifestly unfounded ones.
5. What we tell you when we act (DSA Art. 17)
If we take any of the following steps against content or an account because it is illegal or breaks our Terms of Service or Partner Terms — namely:
- removing a server listing or disabling access to it,
- disabling or deleting an uploaded texture pack,
- reducing a listing's position or visibility in the app,
- restricting or suspending payments to or from a partner, or
- suspending or terminating an account or part of the service,
then we send the affected party a statement of reasons. It sets out:
- What we did — removal, disabling, demotion, payment restriction, suspension — and, where relevant, in which countries and for how long;
- The facts we relied on, and whether we acted on a report under section 4 or on our own initiative;
- Whether automated means were involved in finding or deciding the case;
- The ground — the law we relied on and why we consider the content illegal, or the clause of our terms we relied on and why we consider the content incompatible with it;
- How to challenge it — see section 6.
Two points are stated expressly:
- A reduction in position is covered. Lowering a partner server's position, or removing a purchased rank slot, is a restriction of visibility under the DSA and produces a statement of reasons just as removal does. How the lists are ordered is explained on the Ranking page.
- We can only send a statement of reasons if we have electronic contact details for the affected party. BedrockConnect has no user accounts, so for consumer users this usually means the email address you used to write to us. For partner operators, a contact address is always on file.
6. How to challenge a decision
If you are affected by a decision under section 4 or section 5 — whether we acted or refused to act — you can object.
Internal route. Write to contact@gkminteractive.com with the subject line Appeal and the reference number from our decision email. State which parts of the decision you consider incorrect. We look at the case again and reply in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way; we do not commit to a fixed number of days. The review is carried out by a person, and where practical by someone other than the person who took the original decision. The re-examination is a decision on the merits at our discretion: an objection gives you no entitlement to a particular outcome. There is no charge.
Courts. You may bring proceedings before a court at any time instead of, or after, using the internal route. Nothing on this page limits that right.
Out-of-court dispute settlement (EU users). The Digital Services Act provides for certified out-of-court dispute settlement bodies that can look at content moderation decisions. We are a micro-enterprise and, under Article 19 DSA, are not obliged to take part in those procedures; we will nevertheless consider a request to do so on its merits. This does not affect your right to go to court.
We do not participate in consumer arbitration before a general consumer conciliation body and are not obliged to (§ 36 Abs. 3 VSBG).
7. Suspected criminal offences (DSA Art. 18)
If we become aware of information that gives rise to a suspicion that a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person has taken place, is taking place or is likely to take place, we will promptly inform law enforcement or judicial authorities and pass on the relevant information we hold. Where we cannot reasonably determine which country is concerned, we inform the German authorities, Europol, or both.
If a person is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first; in the EU, 112. Notify us afterwards so that we can preserve and hand over the information we hold.
8. Objectionable content in the app
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour in BedrockConnect. That includes pornographic, violent, hateful, harassing, discriminatory or otherwise offensive material in a server listing or in an uploaded texture pack, and it includes servers whose advertised purpose is any of those things.
You can report it:
- in the app, using the report option on the item concerned; or
- by email to help@bedrockconnect.app or contact@gkminteractive.com.
Please state what you saw and where. A screenshot together with the server name and address is usually sufficient.
We act on reports of objectionable content within 24 hours of receiving them. Acting means removing or disabling the content and, where the same person is responsible, withdrawing that person's ability to submit further content. Uploaded texture packs are visible only to the person who uploaded them and are not shared with other users, so there is nothing for other users to block. You can still report any pack you are shown or told about. Section 5 applies to whatever we do here as well: the affected party gets a statement of reasons.
9. Copyright and trademark complaints
If you own a copyright, a trademark or another right and believe something in BedrockConnect infringes it, write to contact@gkminteractive.com with the subject line IP complaint and include:
- who you are and how to reach you, and whether you are the rights holder or acting for one;
- what right you hold, and enough detail to identify the protected work or mark;
- exactly what in the app you say infringes it — the server listing (name and address) or the pack name;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law, and that the information you have given is accurate.
We handle these the same way as reports under section 4: confirmation of receipt without undue delay, a decision by a person, and notification of the outcome and how to challenge it. As under section 4, the decision is ours to take on the merits and at our discretion, and a complaint gives you no entitlement to a particular outcome. Repeat infringers may lose access to the parts of the service they abused.
